We knew it wouldn’t be straightforward when Andrew and I started thinking about starting a family. With my history of Endometriosis and multiple surgeries, natural conception wasn’t likely, so IVF was our path.

Initially, we considered seeking treatment abroad. But I wanted to have my support network close, to be at home, and to have constant contact, so we focused on local clinics. After thorough research, Andrew and I agreed that Hull & East Riding Fertility was the right choice for us.

Our first round coincided with the uncertainties of Covid. Even through this, the team at Hull & East Riding Fertility were welcoming, supportive, and personable; the friendly atmosphere instantly put us at ease.

Meeting Mr. Cunningham for the first time reassured us of our decision. His dedication to our journey with ICSI and his clear explanations were jargon-free, and he patiently answered our many questions (being first timers, we had so many questions).

But what truly set Hull & East Riding Fertility apart was their unwavering emotional support. Whether it was a comforting hug or access to counselling services, they were there for us every step of the way.

We started our journey early in 2021 and were successful; we got our one blastocyst, and that turned out to be all we needed. On January 18th, 2022, we welcomed our son, Caleb.
In 2023, as we embarked on expanding our family, there was no doubt about where to turn. Returning to Hull & East Riding Fertility felt like coming home. Their genuine care went beyond medical expertise; they became our friends and confidants.

While subsequent rounds faced setbacks, Dr. Kulkarni and the team remained steadfast in their support. Dr. Kulkarni’s warmth, knowledge, and ability to reassure me were invaluable. She’s listened to me, answered my hundreds of questions (which seem to keep coming), and even shed a few tears with me along the way.

Let’s be real – fertility treatment is tough. It’s not just a physical journey; it’s a rollercoaster of emotions. And through it all, I’m grateful we chose Hull & East Riding Fertility because they understand. I have never been just a number to them – they genuinely care.

I’ve experienced the highs and lows of this process – physically, mentally, and emotionally. But at every step, the team at Hull & East Riding Fertility has been there. I’ve held their hands after egg collections, laughed with them when we brought Caleb in for visits and cried with them after unsuccessful rounds. Their compassion, understanding, and genuine care have been a lifeline during the darkest moments of our journey. And for that, I’ll always be grateful.

I can’t wrap this up without mentioning Laura; she’s been our rock through it all. Her warmth, knowledge, and ability to make you feel at ease are second to none.

So, here we are, still on our journey with Hull & East Riding Fertility, hoping to make another dream come true. And with them by our side, we know anything is possible.
