After years of trying to conceive naturally we decided to seek help. Nathan and I went to our GP and was initial tests took place. We were then referred to the Hull & East Riding Fertility Clinic.

The Fertility evaluations took place we were diagnosed with unexplained infertility. We felt frustrated and helpless with these diagnoses because there was no identifiable cause. No one prepares you for the way you feel about your body when it can’t do what it’s supposed to do.

Our journey begun at the clinic in January 2023.
We had so many questions, it was both a scary and exciting time for us. The clinic answered every single query promptly and clearly so that we understood and was able to feel fully informed.

The first round of IVF began, and everything seemed to be going well. After the egg collection we were told that none of the 12 eggs had fertilised. At this point I didn’t believe we would ever be able to have the family we had been dreaming of.

In April 2023 we started our second round, this time we continued our journey with ICSI and had successful fertilisation of many eggs. We were very lucky to have two embryos. One to transfer and one to freeze.

We are now blessed with our beautiful boy and can’t imagine our life without him.

The clinic made us feel important, valued and well cared for. The staff are really passionate, honest and realistic.
